Solved The description for Event ID 9 from source KScsiPrt cannot be found...

Had my system freeze up due to the following system error that is becoming more and more frequent:

The description for Event ID 9 from source KScsiPrt cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event: 

\Device\Scsi\KScsiPrt1

Any ideas on how to fix this? Perhaps sfc /scannow?

sfc /scannow found no integrity violations... I am at a loss as to how to fix this issue at this point. Further suggestions are very welcome.

The event ID message is telling you that either the SCSI controller, or a device attached to the controller, did not respond to an I/O request. Either a device is going bad, or the controller is.

I think my driver for KernSafe SCSI Controller may be corrupt or need updating. I will look into it...

That driver was part of my DVD virtualization software. Have to re-install that software now.

Uninstalled and re-installed the virtual drive. I'll see if that solves the system errors.

Ok, uninstalling and re-installing did not resolve the issue, so I decided to disable the driver through device manager. I can always enable it again when I want to use the virtualization software. See if this resolves my issue.

Problem was solved by disabling the KernSafe SCSI Controller driver in device manager.
