The Intel i series

How can you tell how much GHz a system has when you are taking a look at specs of an advertised system? I can't quite make up that part when I look at the numbers that accompany the i series processors. now I udnerstand all i7s are quad(are they?) but some i5s are quad and some are not... how do you get this too? Anyone care to explain all this?

It is a listing of PC CPU's. You need the model and that is it. Such as i7-2600 or i3-2120.
Click the one you want to see the specs on or check mark the "compare" box to see more than one at a time.

Not sure straight from my head if all i7's are quad. However, the primary feature that seperates i5 and i7 is hyper-threading. Everything else, they could be similar.

The GHz aren't really that important anymore, to be honest....unless you are comparing processors from the identical family.

As with anything else, you just need to do some simple research right to the source to get your answers. Most people who are shopping for a processor typically choose a motherboard socket first, such as 1155, and then choose the motherboard then processor.
