Solved The mouse pointer changes because of a scroll??

I have 1 question and a couple suggestions.

-The strange scroll cursor, does it show up anywhere on your list of pointers?

1. Even I'll be banging my head if this works, but try clicking "Use Defaut" (Control Panel>Mouse>Pointers) & "Apply."
-Also, what happens when you try to change to a different scheme?

2. I second a malware/virsus/etc scan. Just because you didn't knowingly do anything dangerous, doesn't mean there isn't a virus or something around somewhere.

Miranova23,
yes,i've tried the things u said.
and i already have an anti virus.(Kaspersky total security 2011)
and do worry, coz i am banging my head over this problem.
any way,
thanks for the quick reply! :)
p.s.it doesnt show up anywhere on my list of pointers.

It is not good that your problem is still there, Danshu ! I know that you have tried a lot of fixes already, but still I am suggesting a few checks ..... let us see what happens .

First, (Though you have Kaspersky) Download Malwarebytes Anti Malware (Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download), install it ans have a full scan of your computer.

Second, Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html , if there is any system integration violation, it will be fixed .

Finally, if it is still there, you may try for a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html .

All the virus checking in the world isn't going to fix this. It is an animation/pointer installed by proprietary mouse software.

For the record, I think you're right. DanshuP, back to the pointers tab, click "Browse," and see if you can locate the actual cursor file.

If it is there, I honestly don't know what would happen if you deleted it, or renamed it, or renamed something else to match its name... Any further ideas?

What do you mean it won't scroll? If you had some special way of scrolling, AND if this is a VAIO, then you NEED the software installed.

If this is a VAIO, then you should go to Sony's site and download the latest version of the software.

You may back your files up externally and restore your Acer to factory defaults . As it is an Acer, a Vaio touchpad scrolling app shouldn't be there .
