So I have the standard (incorrect) error message of : this copy of windows is not genuine

It is genuine. I successfully validated in the past (god knows how). I am now to the point where I have a warning on the screen in the lower left side. I know this is a real copy of Windows. I have validated it before (but it was a pain due to the many glitches of MicroSlop). Here I am again. So here is the diagnostic report. Please help. Thank you.

Hi Ken Linder,

Welcome to SevenForums!

Thank you.

There is a known problem with one of the latest updates causing this or a similar issue. Downloading KB4487345 has worked for a few people! Download and run KB4487345 from here => MS Update Catalog KB4487345.

If this problem is recent, you can use System Restore to roll back the OS to a date prior to the problem happening. This could possibly resolve your problem.

I hope this helps!

Hi Ken,

sorry mate MS are correct it is indeed non-genuine.
You have a Retail, (gigabyte), motherboard using an OEM COA sticker key..
This is further backed up by the fact there is no SLIC table,(allways present on OEM installs), and the Windows marker version is also missing.

Hi Ken,

UPDATE
Something must have caught my eye, so had a more in-depth look, even tho everything i said in my previous post is correct
good thing im not a computer that blindly follows instruction sets.

Would like to confirm a couple of things as well, can you run this tool please
select the check product key option, what are the results

https://github.com/Superfly-Inc/Sho...nload/ShowKeyPlus6893/ShowKeyPlus1.0.6893.zip

What if any system changes did you make on the 26th. (i)
(or have you recently re-installed it)

Do you still have the original OS packaging WITH the COA attached, does it end with same 3 code sets shown in the report
DO NOT POST IT

2nd Check report

The partial product key is not a standard default - looked up your comp cant see them supplying you with a non-genuine OS

THIS is why i looked further

TTS Error: T:20190326192805413-
Its VERY rare, only seen it a few times, no more than 5, and unfortunately i have never known it resolved, So Clean Install:mad:
Stands for Trusted Time Stamp, and its assosciated with a driver, problem is we dont know which one is corrupt, the only info we have is the date, from the first part of the error code, (i)

Unfortunately I can't go get any optional updates. Unfortunately when you run the msc file, WIN 7 PRO tells you "The update is not applicable to your computer".

This thing worked fine for over 2 months after my last install (until the NVIDIA driver blew it out) so there is no way that the disc is problematic, but I *did* have to go through various hoops (and lot of web searching for solutions) to get past the many errors that windows 7 has when it cones to validating their software. It was a pain. I thought I had it all written down. I guess I missed something.

It ran for two months just fine (activated after much fussing to get past microsoft's many validation bugs) until a NVIDA issue blew my install and I had to start over.

So this was indeed a fresh install on the very same machine with all the very same hardware.

Hi Ken,

What if any system changes did you make on the 26th. (i)
(or have you recently re-installed it)

I reinstalled on the 26th from scratch because some odd driver issue with my NVIDA card hung my system to the point where I could only get to a BSD.

Hi Ken,

I have the sheet that comes with the product in front of me. I am not sure what 3 numbers you mean. The actual Microsoft Product Key insert only has 2 #s on it. The product key (which is correct in the log) and some other number underneath the bar code.

Hi Ken,

How did you do your clean install, if you did it from a previous image i would have to say its corrupt

Shoot over to the Heidoc site and download a fresh SP1 image
Then in the following order during set-up
DO NOT
input your product key during install or Update windows
(turn windows Updates off)
REBOOT
Then update your drivers directly from the manufacturers website (Not Beta's)
BIOS
Motherboard
Graphics
CPU

reboot, and use

DISM++ - Basic Overview

DISM++ is a FREE implementation tool that has the ability to perform Windows Updates [WU]. Some of the advantages [but not all] are:

[1] The GUI is very easy to understand and use.
[2] It is much faster than M$’s WU because it uses a different engine.
[3] It downloads the latest WU DB from the M$ servers, scans your OS, and then lists the updates available.
[4] It doesn’t install superseded updates like M$ does.
[5] It gives you the option of what you want to install.
[6] The pre-ticked updates are what is recommended and are similar to the WU critical and recommended updates. The un-ticked updates are similar to the WU optional updates.

[7] It warns you if an update:
  • Includes telemetry.
  • Has known issues with certain hardware.
  • Needs exclusive access.
  • Is suspect.
  • Your OS doesn't need it.
  • Has any other known issues.
[8] It doesn’t require re-booting between updates.
[9] It can be used to either update an install.wim image OFFLINE, or to update the LIVE OS.

Once completed input your product code.
