is an error we don't often see, and is almost always (and should be) accompanied by a timestamp in the TTS error line.

I think in this case it's a bit of mis-diagnosis on the part of the tool - try this....


Please first try recreating Licensing Store.

Recreate the Licensing Store
  • Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
  • Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
  • Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each

net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)

CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc
slui.exe

  • After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report

Try telephone activation usin the automated system first

Click on the Start button
in the Search box, type
SLUI 4
and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions.

If that fails, you'll be asked to hang on to speak to an operator.
This normally times out after a minute or two, so phone back, but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you

when i type SLUI 4 its comes up to a screen saying windows is not genunie when i click go online and resolve, it just brings me to a page to purchase a new windows 7

I think your best bet is to try contacting your local activation center from this list, and see if they can help - but before you do, please do the following.

Open Event Viewer and Export the Windows Application and System event logs - zip them up and attach them to your reply - they may contain enough detail for me to work out what the problem is.
As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with the Key, and the error message doesn't indicate a bogus Key despite what validation has to say.

When you call, ignore the ansafone completely - that should force an operator to pick up, and you can explain your problem to them.

tell them about the MGADiag report - and this error Notification Reason: 0xC004FE00
They will ask for your Product Key and hopefully tell you that it's OK - they may then be able to assist in getting it activated properly, or may pass you on to the Tech support.

Please make notes of anything they ask you to do - it would be very interesting to know the details of any fix!

well noel i really dont know what u did but for some reason i decided to go to computer and try to enter this code 1 last freaking time! this time is was sucessful! not sure if it was the antimalware software or some of the command promots i had to do but this time it decided to work! ty so much for all ur time!
