"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions" - WHY?

I use Windows-7 Pro, MS Office-7, MS Edge and I now get the "cancellation / restrictions" message when I attempt to pay any bill online.

I do not recall making any changes to Windows-7, Office-7 or Edge.

I have Attached a Snip of the message I receive.

Please help me out of this dilemma if you can.

All I can suggest is that with banks and all other financial agents they are sometimes overly concerned with security, as you are using Windows 7 and applications from the same era you may be failing one of the many checks that these institutions make to protect both you, your money and themselves.

Here in the UK the banks etc are supposed to inform you of any cut off times that are likely to impact your use of their services in time for you to activate security that is acceptable - I'm not sure if any of these protections apply to you at State or federal level, but that is where I would start to look for an explanation to this issue

Shawn has posted today that Windows 7 Extended Security Update support ends today January 10, 2023.

This could be a reason for the change you have seen
