Thumbcache and restore files are automatically deleted

My Thumbcache and restore files are automatically deleted periodically in Windows 7. What is the problem?

The thumbcache is where Vista/Windows 7 stores the thumbnails- many people have a problem with this deleting and regenerating itself multiple times a week or even daily- see this thread.
