Thumbnails will not open online

Hello,
Recently I had to restore my laptop to factory settings and now when I go online and try to click on an image it will not open. the screen goes slightly darker and a single white bar about 6 inches long runs horizontaly across the top of my screen. The background is still visible but thats it. I am using win 7 home on a 64 bit system. Is there something I can reload or enable????? Any help???

I will suggest you to run Windows Updates first and then I suggest updating Flash Player from the site: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP

If the issue still persists, try another browser like chrome, Firefox etc. and check if the issue occurs on this browser or not.
