Thunderbird emails & Address book

Hi.Just want to clarify one little item regarding thunderbird backup.I have the mozbackup installed just would like to confirm my setting just for the backup of thunderbird emails,Address book & My settings
This my setup,Is it correct or do I need to change some of the check boxes?

I'm sorry if this question don't comply in this forum,But I thought that someone is using thunderbird email client here.

Hi,Sorry to get back to you,Regarding TB I'm using the latest 11.01.Are there any tips or tricks that you may be able to help me out.
Only been using for a few months,Seems okay.

I have been using Thunderbird for five or six years and have never had much of a problem with it it just works.
No real special tricks that I know.

You can also back up your entire Thunderbird configuration by simply copying the Thunderbird folder.

It's at C-users-yourusername-appdata-roaming-mozilla.

If you later reinstall your system and reinstall Tbird, you can then copy that entire backed up folder into the new installation at the same location to regain all your Tbird emails and configuration.

I think that's what the mozbackup tool does--but it's easily done manually as described above.

I use my regular file backup program to backup Thunderbird---copying that entire Thunderbird folder within the Mozilla directory.

This folder is not to be confused with any Mozilla or Thunderbird folder in your Program Files directory.

What you said was as above,I can copy that TB folder to a safe maybe an usb stick,And then if pc goes wrong where do I replace that folder.When I reinstall TB into new pc where would one go from there to place that TB folder that I have on my usb stick.

Right back where it came from: C-users-yourusername-appdata-roaming-mozilla.

Suppose you buy a new PC without Thunderbird.

You install Thunderbird. That installation will create a Mozilla folder at c-users-yourusername-appdata-roaming.

Inside that Mozilla folder is a Thunderbird folder.

To restore Thunderbird from the USB drive, you would simply copy that saved Thunderbird folder to C-users-yourusername-appdata-roaming-mozilla, overwriting the Thunderbird folder that was created by the new installation of Thunderbird.

That's what the Mozbackup app does, automatically.
