I have lost my recovery disks and came to know that some systems have recovery partitions for hardware based recovery and came to know how to see if they exist on my laptop. So I right-clicked on computer and choose manage and then the disk management option. There I found out that there are three partitions named recovery. The free percentage was 100% in it.I want to know whether I can use them for recovery

Tgere is probabaly a folder on the 13,67 gb partition called "sources". You are looking for a file called install.wim, or several install.swm files.

Apply the wim file to your windows partition using tools on this boot media

Hi Nihal mazhar

In every computer built by the manufacturer there is an recovery disk.

But the recovery disk is only allow for 1 time.

You may have to search in the brand folder.

This is basic for manufacturer do not provide Recovery disc, as the owner have to make a copy.

Hence, look for the application to make a backup Recovery disc.

Even now you still able to do it, as you did not know.

This Recovery disc is similar to the factory setup, in other work, locate in the Recovery partition.

As for 13.67 GB, you need to have at least 5 DVD discs standby when you proceed.

Do keep the Recovery disc as you may not able to do another, using the same application.

Once done, you do not need to worry about that Recovery partition.

Do note that factory restore will delete ALL Partitions of the drive.

It then will built it to exactly as original when new.

After you had complete the installation, the next step is Windows updates.

You need to prepare all the necessary windows updates, which this process may take at least more than a day.

Eric.

A bit surprised but I came to know that disk management won't give the correct details of recovery partitions. So I used partition resizer application and it showed that 1 partition about 2 GB was windows recovery environment ,another partition having some 500MB for drivers and another one was for the OS recovery with about 10GB space occupied.
