I'm doing even better But have to say that my works still prevent me from having good time with SF and EF. :)

Ride safely, Arc. ;)

My internet is fine. Problem's only with SF. Things work well when I browse rapidly through forum pages, problem starts when I write a post that takes sometime to type and then click post reply - stucks there. :/

It's probably a fault with that dodgy proxy you are connecting with :zip:

Personally I'm prepared to put-up with the Google tracking for what it gives me ....

Good search facilities, and even the ad targeting means I get adverts in web pages that i'm interested in

One recent example of the more complete service is

I was due to go out and surfed the web before I left and happened to checkout a local technology store on the PC before I left, (I had been looking at tech items that day and noticed an ad for the store selling products I was interested in).

Taking my Android tablet with me I walked towards the local bus stop, before I got there, less than a hundred yards, my Google Now! on the tablet showed the weather forecast for the store location, an estimate on the time to get to the store, by bus, based on two local bus timetables, and offered to navigate there - spooky or magic it may seem at times, it is certainly impressive, the system knew I was moving from the GPS in the tablet and provided me with useful information based on my recent activity.

I'm with Greg, I don't like my data given and made available to the entire world population. Nothing about me could be of any use to anyone. My demographic is not much use since the baby-boomer fascination has stopped, most of us are dead. :D
Bing is about the same as. It feels like they are local peeper looking in my windows at night.

I don't really care if Google secretly spies on me and sells that data, I love Google and its services, I can't imagine life without it, but what I'm concerned about is that the data that Google collects is sent to their servers from my system which involves data transfer which might be slowing me down.

Any data transferred would be negligible, so not really a speed factor :)

And the fact that you live 3,959 miles from the nearest landline would probably be more of a factor ;) :p

Since removing Google Chrome, I've had no reports of adware or spyware on my system.
