Thanks Joan, fortunately I have a fairly broad mind so it really did not upset me, in fact after I hung up I laughed out loud, as obviously I had upset him no end.

That would have been a good idea Bill, but I really couldn't have got a word in with a pneumatic drill, as there was a non stop diatribe.

Last night I did my scheduled when I'm in the mood clone of my grandpa computer.

Used Macrium and it worked just fine.
I cloned a ssd to a 7200 rpm hard drive.
To check things out I booted from the hard drive and thought I was going to fall asleep.
I have been using ssd's for a long time and forgot how slow, slow, slow hard drives are.

Well the minus degrees have hit here in Northern Europe, but luckily it is just like -1/-2 Celsius.

It's not so much the temperature here which is still above zero but the wind coming from the polar regions. Still we are promised an improvement later in the week when warmer weather systems come in from the Atlantic.

Yes you are right the wind can be a real pinch. There was a winter a couple of years ago where the temperature went down to -35 due to the wind, I think, apologies but my memory is a bit sketchy.

My little Austria Village, first real snow of the season today after really beautiful summer and autumn. In 3 weeks the sky season starts and I will be teaching my 3 to 6 years old again !!! I LOVE IT !!!

I've never skied myself Thelma but I have a cousin who goes skiing most years he loves it.

I've never skied either and not likely too now.

It's cold here but no snow yet and there's always the chance there won't be either we don't get it that much around here but if you go a few miles north they'll get it.

In Europe, in my young years, sky holidays were for the rich, my doctor, my dentist and so I never learned it.

I learned it from friends, here in the village and I am not good at it, but for the little kids you don't need to be good at skiing, you need to be good at keeping them happy and patient. I always say, if there is no crying in the first half hour I have won and they will learn something they will enjoy for the rest of there lives. For the rest it is just, cleaning noses, bags of sweets and picking them off the snow, I love it !
