Well of the 4 places, 1 of them i bought about 5-6 320GB HDD's from several times for many devices, Xbox (old one) mums PC and a few client's PC's.

It's also, if i was to be hired of any of the 4, this shop would be the one id like to work at.

this is the first time i've ever handed out my resume.

It's fairly empty, since i dropped out of school and such, but how would i go about letting them know im interested with out being a PITA?

Today my first task was to interview a young man, sent to us by local Job Center, for a job we are desperately seeking someone.

As in two thirds of these cases, he came and even before my first question he asked if he could just get my signature to Job Center form showing he's been here and met me. I signed it, and he left. If he can not proof he's been here, he could lose his benefits.

Social security here in Europe, especially in Germany and Scandinavian countries, is really too good. These guys get the rent, money for clothes and hobbies and public transport, and about €500 monthly pocket money. We could pay about €1800 a month (35 hours a week); after taxes, rent, monthly pass for public transport etc., the net would be about the same than living on welfare.

The system is so good, these educated young people stay rather home, playing with their computers all day long. Of course they do not think the benefits of working, even if the net income would be the same: accumulating pension, possibility to advance and earn more, health insurance, better mental health etc.

My options? To keep searching, hoping I'll find a young man / woman to this junior post. But it's difficult because there's a limit in how much we can pay.

Been putting some more books back in my room. I have to go to the Job Centre shortly in Hastings and update them what happened at Hastings College, also tell my PA what courses I will be doing. I will tell you later how I got on.

Today I updated my system specs. I found out I still had in the old specs for my other machine, the one where I had the problems installing Seven which brought me to Seven Forums (nostalgic sigh... It feels interesting to read that thread again now).

So much for bashing the noobs for not updating their specs...

Today I started to teach me Photoshop. I know something about computers and IT but GFX is always been difficult to me. I'm one of those coders who have done a lot of websites, private and commercial, but always needed help to create graphics and to edit images.

I've been amazed to see what our GFX gurus can make with appropriate tools, some of them teenagers. So, I bought Photoshop CS4 for my home rig, together with the book Photoshop CS4: The Missing Manual by Lesa Snider and bookmarked Adobe Photoshop Free Tutorials, Tips, Articles Websitetips.co

Sorry fellow geeks but I have to brag and show my first ever Photoshop GFX. I just have to, please let a grown up man be like a child this time! With first ever I mean something I've done from beginning to the final version all by myself, only borrowing The Seven Forums and The Eight Forums logo, as well as one Win7 background because those I couldn't make yet. But I put the elements and layers together which I've never before understood how it's done.

My first GFX work is here, on our sister The Eight Forums in the thread What would you like to see in Windows 8?.

I think I can lean Photoshoppping!

Once again a night of insomnia. Took one and a half sleeping pills over four hours ago, let's see when it kicks in

Lying in bed, keyboard on my stomach, waiting. Decided not to go to work tomorrow (today, it's almost 4AM already), so having no stress; I'll sleep when I'll sleep, wake up when I'll wake up.

EDIT, 8 hours later: Barbiturates did not kick in. Sometime after 6AM I've fallen to sleep. Half past nine I was already seeing my doctor. Something must happen; I've slept about 8 to 10 hours during the last 5 nights. My body can not cope anymore.

Got more medicine, tried now about hour and a half to sleep but it's not working. These pills are not working, either. Called the doc and asked how long they stay in my system; he said that because they are not sleeping pills but rather something that helps you to fall asleep, they don't stay so long. Decided to wait until late afternoon before trying the plan B, The Universal Sleeping Pill called Single Malt Whisky.

Hopefully I can sleep tonight.
