Uber.. I know that feeling also.. had to do that a few days ago.. one tech was as confused as I was.. the second guy knew exactly what needed to be done.. we got busy he had things going in just a few minutes.. then we set my ATT modem.. minus the router..(he had me to disconnect from it totally )... waited for me to re-connect it.. stayed until I was back on line.. out on the web.. .. had me to reboot..and sign in again.. everything was going great.
That's why I love Windows 7 Forums.. these peopel know how to get your problems solved so quickly most of the time.,, if not another one will come along and reply to help things along.. then see you to a completed fix for your problem.
Makes me smile..

Today I'm having quite mixed feelings.

A last couple of days I've had some extra stress factors in my life but suddenly today everything is fine. Better than fine; by signing some papers an hour ago I finally finished a several months long process leading to my retirement.

As of 1st of May, in only 16 days, I am going to be officially retired It means, among other things, that when it took me almost a year to get post count here up to 4K, the next 4K is going to take only a fraction of that time

Congratulations, Kari. That is a BIG step. I, too, viewed retirement with mixed feelings and a certain amount of trepidation.

It is a bigger change than one can imagine. I like having the freedom of not having to keep schedules. I do not miss the politics that went with my second job. I miss the camaraderie of the military; but I don't miss the BS. I miss being productive and I miss having a higher income. I have plenty to do, though, and I am certainly not bored. If the economy ever improves, I will go back to work on a part time basis - doing something I love to do.

Today my new case arrived

All though the 350w PSU it was suppose to come with, wasnt there
Dunno what happened but i guess i read wrong, and i most likely wasnt even gonna use the PSU (it was a cheap one)
Anyway, i'm about to go off to make a "How to install a motherboard in a case" tutorial for here

Congrats Keri. I was in that position some 5 years ago. I was under the impression that I would have loads of time to spare, a real luxury. I'm still looking for that spare time, indeed I think I have less "free" time now than I did when I ran my own business. Or perhaps hen you turn three score years and ten that time does, in fact, go faster!

Due to lack of interest, stress and need to do something else plus need to have more quality time with my wife.

I'm quite healthy, 51 years old, worked 35 years continuously without a day of unemployment. I've just had enough, decided to start the process when eating Christmas dinner. First step was to cut down work related travelling and weekly hours to under 50, but it was clear from the beginning that it was not enough.

@Sergio, when can we see pics of the rig?

It isnt a complete rig yet i'm afraid.
I still need PSU, CPU, Ram and HDD

But i got the mobo and case now, so i'll throw up a few pics of those later today when i finish the tutorial
