Today I made the switch to Firefox from Chrome. I didn't realize how much time it takes.
How long? Just wondering, if I ever feel like trying the others out.
Well, it takes a couple minutes to transfer bookmarks, if you know how.

Other than that, it is just manually typing in credentials and stuff. It probably took me 15 min initially, and it will take me a few more seconds each time I visit a site I haven't saved my credentials for.

That is the main reason I don't use my other browsers, lazy I guess.

Just momentarily ago did I realize that the HD in the PS3 failed...I turned it on to no avail...

I tested it in my main laptop...never even kicked up spinning

Looks like I will have to get another...to bad I am not in a situation to do so

Anyone out there willing to sell me (for not so much) or just give me a 5400RPM/7200RPM decent size (I would be eternally grateful)

Tonight I am listening to a wonderful thunderstorm and watching the lightning flash through my window panes.

Tonight I am also reminded why all my expensive electronics are connected through Belkin surge protectors ;)

Bad mood, stayed home not working too long. But the flu is (almost) completely gone now. Tomorrow is going to be a working day.

i listened to music, looked up beautiful geek girls to replace the top 10 geeks threads original suggestions and decided i'd definitely leave my gf for summer glau.
Valton, I can see the difference between generations. IMO your girlfriend should be the first one to know that. Others should hear about that in past tense (I LEFT her), not in future tense.

Today I made the switch to Firefox from Chrome. I didn't realize how much time it takes.
Jonathan, I'm confused. Just yesterday you were asking opinions if you should leave Chrome and start using some other browser:
I have loved Chrome, on account of it being by Google, wicked fast, and lightweight. However, I have started to see some nasty features.
...
...

I feel terrible saying such things about my main browser. I have learned, however, that "no man can serve two browsers". I can only have 1 main browser at a time. While I am surfing SF, I would love to use another browser, but unfortunately, it is while I am posting that I do my other work.

So, should I make the switch? Or should I continue to use Chrome, and hope that some of these will be changed in future releases?

Kari

What are you saying Kari? Not quite sure what you mean.

Actually, yesterday's thread was more an announcement than a call for opinions. I know I did ask for them, but to be honest, I already knew what I had to do.

If I had gotten tons of replies saying stick with Chrome, things will improve, I may have reconsidered, but no.

If I had gotten tons of replies saying stick with Chrome, things will improve, I may have reconsidered, but no.

Sometimes it happens my head is not coping with this daily life using four languages and I both misunderstand and misread quite easily. Today seems to be one of those days; I'm still a bit sick, and in a very bad mood, getting some heavy medicament, and my brain seems to have forgotten my work languages English and Swedish, as well as my home language German, and using only my native language Finnish. English, Swedish and German are on holiday today!

So I misread your post. I read it that you are changing over to Chrome from Firefox and I could not understand that after your marvelous post yesterday about reasons why you are thinking to stop using Chrome.

Now re-reading your post I can clearly see it was my mistake, you are moving from Chrome to Firefox.

I'm sorry for my bad mood, and for replying before really understanding your post. I'm sorry for my English being on holiday, causing me to misunderstand.

No hard feelings, Jonathan?

Kari

no you understood what i was saying on there, but my girlfriend is firmly rooted in my life i don't think she has any worries about being replaced. besides my family would disown me, they all love her. and any girl that can put up with me that long, well lets just say it's a hell of an accomplishment.
