Too Many Wireless Networks

I'm thinking it's just me being like Monk, but is there a way to remove some or all of the various other wireless networks that my laptop can see. I only connect to my own network and that works just fine. Is there a solution to my issue, or is this a "feature" I need to deal with? In the attachment, I'd like to only "see" MY LAN.

this is just a feature to inform you of all the available wireless netwoks in your surrounding area

from control panel Click the "Manage Wireless Networks" link in the left panel and from the wireless network connections management dialog you can add, remove, or reorder wireless network connections

move yours to the top of the list and windows 7 will pick that one first by default

Thanks everyone. I kind of figured that it was my evil anal-retentive twin that was getting the better of me. I'll do my best to follow ickymay's advice. Have a Happy New Year !
