I have a Toshiba satellite x200 running on windows 7 64 bit. Everything works great except for the sub-woofer. The sound from the other speakers are working fine but there is nothing coming form the sub-woofer and the bass is greatly reduced. i have been searching for a couple of hours, installed all the latest drivers and nothing has worked yet.

Please need Help.

All help would be greatly appreciated!

This is for the x205 sateliite they are realtek.Only ones I could find. I don't know if they will work but it's worth a shot they are win 7 drivers. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/...X205-S9359&selCategory=3&selFamily=1073768663
I also searched everywhere toshiba dosen't even list an x200 on their site only the x205, have you tried update drivers and have windows search? From what I have read did it come with vista home premium? Have you tried installing those drivers In compatibility mode? Also what 7 build # are you using?

Hi, thank for your response,
It came with vista 32-bit ultimate, the window 7 build number is 7600, i also installed the updates in vista service pack 2 compadability mode, and yes i have tried to have windows search for a driver.
It might just be me but the sound quality seemed to get slightly better, but still no sub-woofer. I checked around the internet a bit more and found
- X205-SLI5 Windows 7 - Toshiba Laptop Forums
i just don't understand how he did it.
Thanks for your help.

I FIXED IT !!!! I know this thread is a little old but i had the same issue when I installed windows 7 64bit and I figured i would help out others who use the toshiba x200. My Laptop is the X200 AAC model (thats what it is in canada not sure of euro version). But the solution is pretty simple. Download the driver for windows vista 32bit (my x200 originally came with windows vista 32bit ultimate) right click on the setup exe file for the driver, go to properties, compatability tab, then check run this program with compatability for: and select windows vista service pack 2 from the drop down menu. Now run the setup and follow setup instuctions and your subwoofer and 4 speakers should work perfect.

if you cant find your original driver here is where i got my driver Toshiba of Canada Limited - Drivers and Downloads
