Hauwei HG655d (wireless router)

I have recently moved to the Netherlands and now in an apartment with a common internet that 3 people, including myself are sharing from. I have been unable to hook up my own wireless router and cannot figure out how to solve this. As of now I am hard wired into the wall where the internet is working. When I plug in my wireless router I lose all internet.

When plugged in these are the lights:

(green)--(off)--(off)---------------------------(green)-(green/blink)-(red phone)
Power---DSL--INTERNET-Lan1-Lan2-Lan3-Lan4--WLAN-----WPS-------VOIP--------USB

If I plug in a cable from Lan1 to my computer I still get nothing

I'm not the most tech friendly person but I do know how to set up my computer. Am I unable to hook it up because of the main shared modem or what? Customer service will charge me about 1.00euro a minute so I figured I'd try here first.

Thank you

Are you are plugging your modem into another modem or Access point?
If so you will need to log in to "YOUR ROUTER" through the GUI/Browser disable DHCP, and power cycle it. Now when your plugging your router in via ethernet plug it into a LAN port...not the internet port...but one of the 4 LAN Ports
Unplug and plug it in.
