Trying to play grand prix 4 in windows 7 64 bit

hi, i cant play gp4 in windows 7 64 bit. All i get is a blank black screen with a white cursor on load up

i have tried running it in xp service pack 2 compatability mode with no luck

As I have windows 7 premium , is that the problem? is it although I can change the settings in properties mode for the exe. file I dont actually have this feature on windows premium?

if thats the case do I need to upgrade or download a patch?

try an earlier version of windows than xp in compatibility mode.

This may be a little Nuts.

Goto your Graphics Cards Setting, Change all the AA, AF, Triple and all the others TO OFF or let the app decide.

This will now be ok.

OK I GOT AN ATI HD 6800 card.

cant find the settings you listed. where should i be looking.

well, im just about ready to give up... looked everywhere and cant work out why i have a blank screen with cursor.

tried loads of stuff, reinstalled and still task manager says the program is not running.

yet i done a fresh install on another computer running xp and it worked fine.

i even copied the game onto a flash drive from the working xp version and nothing.

can i ask again if i have windows 7 premium does the compatibilty mode actually work or is it just higher versions?

hi, im trying to run gp4 the game on windows 7 without luck

so i tried run running in in xp mode service pack 2 and 3

am i right in saying though that although i can check the box to run in xp mode in settings for the execute file, windows 7 premium wont run this mode and i need to upgrade to a higher version of windows 7 to gain this facility?

might explain why the game isnt running?
