Trying to shorten the post screen

Have a tester machine with a Q9650 core DG43NB Intel board running 32bit 7 Home premium and booting from a Crucial M4 28GGB SSD.

Now boot to password to desktop is currently faster than my Sandy Bridge build at 35secs but I think it would be super fast if I could "slim down" the Intel post screen.

I have disabled the set up and boot key prompts but cannot find the setting for that front Intel screen which lasts about 15 - 20 secs. Have done a few Googles but cannot find what I am looking for.

So does anyone have experience with this particular board and BIOS please?

Have you put a checkmark in the "no gui boot" box in msconfig? It's on the boot tab.

Thanks Ignatzatsonic I didn't even know of that route my Giga board has it in the BIOS settings and I just couldn't find it in the Intel BIOS setup.

Matter of fact I haven't seen it in the BIOS of my Toshiba laptop either but have just seen your ref and done the same to it to speed it up too
