I think a lot of people would say that Windows 7 doesn't need any 3rd party software. It takes care of itself pretty well with its own utilities. People have specifically said that tune up utilities cause problems. Some of Win 7 tools include:
On the other hand, a lot of people like 3rd party utilities like CCleaner, Auslogics Disk Defrag, and a lot more. My suggestion is to make a system image of your computer and then experiment with the various tools that are out there. If and when your computer gets hosed you'll be able to get it up and running in about 30 minutes by restoring to the system image.
I have tune up utilities , the only thing it is worth useing for is to switch start up screens logo's and theme's other then that ,I really does nothing to boost performance
It's more like a windows theme type deal if you are hoping it will fix errors your going in the wrong direction .
Not to discourage you but this is basicly like useing the super edition windows with all the theme's
