Solved Turn Off Display time gets reset; doesn't stick

On Win7/64, created a custom power plan that turns off the display after 3 hours. If I hibernate and come back, all is well. Sometime later (in days), and I'm guessing it's after a reboot, it gets set back to the 20 minute default. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas on how get it to work properly and not change the value on me?

Does it delete the plan you created, or just move it to another plan?

The plan doesn't alter. Only the one value (that I'm aware of so far) changes.

New system, fresh battery. Should not be a MB issue since this is a Win7 configuration, not BIOS.

Do you have any software installed for your GPU? Perhaps there's a setting in there that might be overriding your Windows setting somehow?

I think you've got it, the parameter "Turn Off the Display" is the only thing that changes (as far as I can tell or care about at the moment).

You might be on to something because I did recently updated the Radeon application and video driver. While looking at the application, I did find a Power Profile setting with the parameter in question. So if the application defaulted to 20mins, it certainly could have over written what Win7 uses. Short of reinstalling the application, not sure how to confirm this.

Well I think that's it. When I change the value from the Graphics application, it directly changes what is in the windows power profile I created. My conclusion for now is this is what's happening. Thanks all very much for your suggestions. Now I can go back to liking Win7 again
