Twitter not displaying correctly, fonts are all garbled (like sticks)

Twitter not displaying correctly, fonts are all garbled like sticks. I have tried in firefox, IE9 and Chrome. It is unreadable in all browsers and I cannot find a fix anywhere.

For Character Encoding I have all browsers set to Unicode (UTF-8) as do not recall ever changing them to anything else or seeing this problem before. All other sites show correctly. So I really am stumped. If you need my twitter page or could go see if it looks normal on your computer the address is Robbo (@aussiecriminals) on Twitter

So I figured this is the place to be as it may be a rendering issue within Windows7 or my computer. Here is a screen of what I am seeing guys. Thanks for any help in advance...Cheers

Hi Koolcat, thanks for replying, but before I do that (I do use CCleaner on occasions) I wanted to ask about etc.

Do you mean clear basically everything that is ticked by default, AND OR MORE?

Also, is your suggestion to NOT TOUCH registry cleaner section just for this, or never use it (and or other Reg Cleaners?)

I do not mind cleaning out everything as long as I can still log in to all my sites as I always forget my numerous login details

CCs regcleaner is not perfect, that's all.
I personally use Revo Uninstaller if I want to get rid of an application; I trust Revo much more with deleting any leftover entries in the registry rather than CC.
But for deleting garbage files, you can do with CC whatever you want. Singular Labs also have a utility "CCenhancer" which brings more options to CCs cleaning capabilities.

Anyway, back on topic, when it comes to deleting your browser cache, basically you can delete whatever you want. It's a VERY good idea to delete all cookies, but if you're a single user on your PC and like to have your passwords saved by the browser, you can spare yourself from typing them all in again for each website by simply not deleting them in CC.

Yes, i meant clean everything that is selected by default on both tabs of Windows & Application.

Regarding the registry section, suggested not to touch that part because we never know, it can mess up more rather than fix. You may also follow the advise by Gornot .

Twitter page problem

as you may know I have the same problem with twitter as you have.
Yesterday I did a deep clean on my computer,removeing all the rubbish plus removing all cookies,history and temp files plus anything else that was not needed. I also tried all the restore points that were available but guess what it did not fix the problem.
I have also spoken to so called experts but they have no idea what is causing the problem.

I will let you know if I make any progress towards a solution.

Twitter page problem

I have solved the problem of the twitter page on our computer.

I have deleted the HELVETICA font and it now works fine.

I can only assume that one of the font files was corrupt.

Hope this solves your problem as well.

I had also solved my problem by deleting Helvetica, but now I am having the same problem once again even though the main Helvetica font is deleted...VERY frustrating...

To make things worse, when I delete the fonts, they seem to automatically come back out of nowhere when I restart the computer! Any idea how to make them PERMANENTLY delete?

You shouldn't actually delete the fonts. Instead, use your browser's preferences to change the default fonts for displaying pages. That should work.

But isn't the font to be used by a website coded into that website itself? (Pardon the newbness at web coding)

If I changed Firefox's settings, wouldn't that force EVERY other page to display using that font setting?

I had the same problem and this was the only thing that worked:
tools>internet options>general>accessibility>ignore font styles specified on web pages
