As with many others, I get the typical UAC pop-up asking if I'll grant permission... However, I no longer use a specifc program so there's no reason to grant permission for it to make changes on my computer.

How can I permanently deny permission to this one program so that the annoying pop-up will stop appearing?

Is it a 'service'?
What's the name of the program, so we can help you get rid of it?

I'm not sure if it's a service or a program - it started when I was charging my phone via the USB port, but I don't do that anymore. And even if I did, I'd think that the pop-up would appear only when I plug in my phone!

The info that appears on the pop-up for UAC is VZNotiAgent and LG electronics.

Have you tried the Control panel uninstall routine ? or is there a link to the uninstaller on the all programs menu ?

If it's started before loggin, which that program usually is, open msconfig.
Click on start and in the space next to Run, type msconfig, press enter.
Click the sart up tab, check for that program, if it's there remove the tick from it's box. Apply and restart.

There are other more complex methods but I suggest you try these first.

Solution found

Yes, I know it's for my phone. I don't use my computer to charge my phone anymore. That's why I don't want/need to continue to give permission.

I finally found the solution in the Start menu - deleted it from there. It wasn't anywhere else (I'd looked in the Uninstall Programs before I ever asked for help).

Thanks for the suggestions, though. They helped anyway!
