How to remove Uninherited "Deny" permission on specific folder?

I just migrated data from my old WinXP computer to my new Win7 computer. I noticed that I cannot open the migrated folder c:\documents and settings\user\my documents\ - access is denied.

I changed permissions to allow administrators Full Control of this folder, and the user read/write access. I also took ownership of the folder as an Administrator. However, there is a "Deny" permission which prohibits Everyone from Listing the folder/Reading data. "Deny" permissions override "Allow" permissions, so I can't open the folder even as an Admin with Full Control + Ownership. I tried to remove the "Deny" permission, but it said I was not authorized to do so and told me to try taking Ownership to get authorization. I already have Ownership, so I'm stuck here.

Does anyone know how to remove the "Deny" permission?

The data is in C:\Users not Documents and Settings, it is just a junction that points to C:\Users you need to leave it alone.

its not easy to do the same case you have to add custom Permission which has got script based commands, Its actually Boolean based Security that is preventing you from accessing that folder

Thanks for the replies. (Well, at least the footnote in the first reply was helpful :)) I migrated from WinXP to Win7 and had not encountered junctions before. It looked like a shortcut that was mysteriously not working.
