First thing I would do is un-make and then re-make all PSU power connections again and listen for the connectors to click together, all while switched off and unplugged from wall power.

Thanks thrashzone for the greeting. I will fill it up once i get home.

Hi linnemeyerhere, that's the first thing i did previously. But don't seem to sovle the issue. Just to add on, whenever i finally get it to boot up i notice my time and date will be incorrect it will stop at around afternoon time. I thought it was the CMOS battery running low as i gotten this pc 3 years back. I replace it and this issue still occur. This problem come and goes. I am able to boot and shut down successfully this morning before leaving for work.

Boot into your bios and have a good look around at the settings as well, set date and time in the bios and make sure your drive order is correct and such, save and then re-boot. If successful booting then close and re-boot several times. How stable is your house voltage? I consider my UPS battery back up as a key component to any important electronics. Many mobo's have a bios reset to factory settings, this could be a good idea then if needed modify settings from there.

When I replaced my PSU a few months ago, also a Corsair, I had a hard time getting the 24 pin cable to clip onto the motherboard. There needs to be a distinct click when you push it down. If you are not getting a click, it is not secure and can come loose when you are using it and cause the PC to shutdown. It also does not boot sometimes because it is loose. If you are having this problem, you need to order one of these and it will do the trick. Amazon.com: StarTech 8-Inch 24 Pin ATX 2.01 Power Extension Cable (ATX24POWEXT): Electronics

What does the bold above mean? == Tell me what happens when you boot, how long it stays on before trouble starts and what happens when it shuts down.

Just playing devil advocate but double check that you have the correct mobo 8 pin power connected both to the mobo as well as the PSU. The 6+2 pin GPU cable looks very similar to it ! Also the CS series doesn't have a great reputation for quiet or reliability....just saying you may need to RMA and hopefully the PSU hasn't taken the mobo down with it?

It could be a faulty PSU, they can be defective out of the factory, just like anything else.

Put back your old PSU and see if the problem disappears.

BigMck: The problem with it were, there is no power when i press on. no fan turning no light on, after trying plug in and out or shaking it. i get it to on. But when it on two thing might happen, one, everything will work, two, fan turning light on but windows not booting up screen show no signal. Last problem is if i get it to run and working fine, till the shutting down part. screen will show no signal but fan will be still turning and light for the power is on but no flashing.

linnemeyerhere: my mobo is a 4pin not the new mobo 8pin, and it fix to psu same like the 24pin for mobo.

doctore: Hope not. basically my old psu is unable to support gtx970. at first i gotten myself a CS550M psu and after 1 week this problem occurred so my initial thought was the psu problem so i brought back to the shop and change it to a CS750M psu. all work well for 2 weeks then same problem happened.

Just a question to all. Could it be that my mobo is not compatible to the gtx 970 or is too old? i got this com at 2011 and its a stock mobo.

I don't think there is a problem with the two being compatible. Right now, I am running out of ideas. Let me think and I will get back to you.

Well having to shake the rig to turn on is telling me that it's a connection issue and likely it's the PSU as all was fine before. As much of a pain as putting the old PSU in to test that would tell you right away if it's the PSU and then getting the RMA back to Corsair going right away.
