Unable to install IE 10 on Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I'm using an Asus UX31E laptop. Have been trying to install IE 10 without success either through Windows Update or manual installation. Usually I am able to solve most problems by myself through Googling but this problem has me stumped.

I followed the instructions on posting:
1. ran System Update Readiness Tool
2. ran a sfc/ scannow in command prompt as administrator
3. have taken a screenshot of the error when trying to install via Windows Update. Got code 9C59.
4. Compressed the whole CBS folder into a zip file.

Currently my CBS.zip file is 45mb, too big to attach. Any suggestions?

I don't know if this will help, but I followed the instructions on "sfcdetails.txt" and am attaching to this reply.

I had the same problem - In my case a custom theme was the culprit. I/We contacted the developer, he did some magic and then IE11 installed w/no problem.

FWIW, removing said theme allowed IE11 to install successfully also.

I do have a Asus theme, though I have no idea how to remove it. Saying that, I often just use the common Windows 7 theme, so I'm not sure if the Asus theme affects the installation or not.
