Hello All

I'm upgrading an Elitebook 850 G3 from the stock mechanical HD to a Corsair SSD, all drivers are installed and everything appears to be going well.

I'm trying to install .NET Framework v4 for Win7 Pro 64-Bit, downloaded directly from Microsoft, and it has been stuck on "Installing .NET Framework 4 Client Profile" for at least an hour.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Paul

There have been some problems lately with installing .NET framework. Just leave it be for a while (like overnight) and see if it finishes installing. If not, post the install error log.

Thanks for the link ThrashZone... what I'd downloaded earlier is dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe, v4.0.30319.1, which is the specific version a particular HP app was asking for.

FYI, the machine belongs to a friend and she needed to use it so I put the spinner back in for now. I should have it back at the weekend and I'll try installing 4.5.2 and see how it goes! :)

Yeah, 4.5.2 is backwards compatible with .NET 4.0 so no worries there.
