Unable to Install on Partition (Different from others)

Ok, first of all I should start out with the fact that I had Windows XP on my computer (Due to absolutley hating Vista). I went to the store and purchased a Full Install Version of Windows 7 Ultimate. After getting a virus which corrupted Rundll32.exe, I decided it was time for a change from the old OS (XP). I stuck the disk into the drive, booted from the CD and was given the following options.
1) Upgrade to Windows 7 (Not Desireable IMO)
2) Custom Installation (This is the option I wanted)
So after selecting custom install all my HDDs (All 5 of em) showed up on the list and I told Windows 7 to install over the old partition for Windows XP. It promptly told me that it could not create and/or modify the partition to install Windows 7 and to see the install log. So, I tryed to reformat the partition. It didn't do anything fancy, just showed that the Drive name was erased, so I assumed it didnt have to do much in the was of actuall re-formatting. So I tried to install Windows 7 again...and got the same error. At this point I deleted the Partition on my boot device and created a new one (a whole device partition not a partial). Then tryed to install...same error. Figuring that it was just a blank partition that needed a formatting, I re-formatted the new partition, then after attempting to install...same error. I even went and formatted another of my drives and I was just gonna set that disk as the boot disk, and (as one could easily guess by now) I got the same error...I now have 2 completely blank disks, and no operating systems...I'm at wits end and could really use some assistance...help please?

Zomg, I'm retarded...

Ok...I dunno why I even thought of it, but looking through all the previous problems with partitioning that I read...I figured it out...all I had to do was remove the other hard drives on my computer...easy day really and I feel like a tard for not realizing it eariler. Anyway, thanks for the awesome advice (I have saved it for prosperity ^_^).
