unable to play online game

An online game played suceesfully previously on Vista...I cannot stay on this game for longer than 1.5 mins before I get logged out with this new PC
(using 64 bit and nevidia geforce 405

It`s called Second Life and the router is..erm..Netgear N150 wireless ADSL2 +_Modem Router...that`s what it says on the package but I`m using wired connection ( sorry I`m not techie)
