I am trying to install SP1 on Win7, but every time it is showing me, I need to plug my charger to continue installation.

Now, the problem is with my lappy battery, that, first I am using lapcare battery (not HP branded), it is charging, but it is not indicating with the small sign of plugged in the battery icon like when the battery started charging, this way installation can't continue.

What should I do now? I am trying to update through Win Update, but that one was also failed. Please help me, I am stuck everywhere.

Did you just install windows 7 or something, why hasn`t SP1 ever been installed ?

What happens if you completely remove the battery and just power the laptop with the AC cord ?

I have just installed Win 7. However, I ran the fix it tool by MS and seems like the problem has been solved for now. But I have to download the SP1 through Win updates instead of installing from ISO :(

Didn't test without battery.
