Hi all, my old Win7 computer (about 10 years old) was having problems and would not play some of the games I recently purchased, so I built a new one. Not cutting edge, but up there, and after doing a fresh install of Win7 and spending hours installing 169 updates, I thought it was good to go. This morning it wanted to install 19 more updates, so I did that, then it told me my hardware was too new for Windows 7 and that it would no longer look for or accept updates. Specifically, my CPU (an AMD Ryzen 7 2700) was too new and I must "upgrade" to Windows 10 as the hardware was made for that OS. This nagware (it pops up about every 30 minutes or so) must have been in one of the 19 updates this morning. Anyone know which update, so that I can uninstall it? The system works fine and screams along, I am just tired of the nagware. If no one knows which update it is, I'll just delete the last 19, one by one until I find it and post the results.
