Solved Unable to update Windows 7 SP 1 / Install MS Office 2013

Hello,


Error 1:
I have Windows 7 32 Bit system and I am unable to install Service Pack 1 getting error message "ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT(0X80073712)"

Error 2:
Also I am unable to add or remove any features from Windows Optional features and getting error message "An Error has occurred. Not all of the features were successfully changed"

Error 3:
Unable to install MS Office 2013 and getting below Event IDs.
Event ID 10005, Error 2908. An internal error has occured.
Event ID 11935, Error 1935.An error occured during the installation of assembly component.
Event ID 1024, Error code 1603.

I have done below steps but it didn't work:
1. Download the System Update Readiness tool and run.
2. Try to install latest service pack from Windows update and manually as well.
3. Run the System File Checker (SFC.exe) tool with the sfc /scannow command but it failed to repair corrupted files
4. Run the check disk by runing the command ckdsk /f/r
5. Install the Other Windows security patches manually.

I have attached the required logs.

But it didn't work. Please help to resolve this issue.

Your CheckSUR log has shown substantial problems on your computer:

 Found 4597 errors
  CSI Payload File Missing Total count: 4597

Due to the extent of the problem, I would highly recommend that you do a clean install: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html

I have resolved this issue by running the Windows repair with bootable media..


a. Inset the Windows 7 bootable media in DVDROM.
b. Boot the system through Windows 7 bootable media.
c. It will ask you to select the Language Option, click on Next.
d. It will provide a option to click on Install, On the same window click on “Repair your computer”.
e. Select the drive and click on Next.
f. Follow the setup instructions.
After that issue resolved but I have to again activate my Windows 7.

I would highly recommend that you run the System Update Readiness Tool and another SFC scan, then post your CBS folder again, just to check this is actually solved

Hi Tom,

I could not perform these steps on that system, I had handed over that system to user.
