Universal Theme Patcher causing bootloop, need to get working

I have a TC1100 and I'm trying to get the Windows XP Luna theme working on it. I've tried UXStyle and it doesn't crash or anything, but the theme still isn't working. I've also tried Classic Shell and it can get the start menu to look XP, but it can't do anything else. I use Universal Theme Patcher on my main computer and it works, so I'm not sure why its causing the TC1100 to bootloop. To get out of the loop I have to enter safe mode and restore it from the patcher and it will boot again, but I need to get it to work because UXStyle doesn't work, the Luna theme simply won't load when used. If there's any better forum out there to ask this let me know as well.

I've tried the Universal theme patcher, but it just gets stuck on Please Wait when restarting and the screen will flash black and keep doing this indefinitely. UXSytle wont do this but my theme wont work either. I wonder if it has anything to do with WDDM because the latest driver for the Geforce4 420 Go doesn't seem to have it

I know very little about it but found the same problem listed several times on SevenForums. Some advise sfc /scannow & other things.
While patching system files can be always troublesome, some advise other alternatives. For eg. How to Enable Custom Themes without Modifying System Files
