Hi all,

I've been getting this message randomly

hniehtv.png

I've tried searching for it using Windows explorer/search, to no avail. I've also tried googling it but also nothing comes up. Has anyone got any info on this?

Cheers,
Gordhan

Internet Search engine finds only this page about that file, it's entirely possible it is malware of some sort or maybe a virus. Update your antivirus program and do a full/deep scan. First thing I do is put %temp% in the Run box [on the Start menu] and delete everything found in the Temp Folder [may be a few that won't delete]. The I'd go to Control Panel [with your browser/s closed] and Internet Options to delete Temporary Internet Files. After all that I'd download Free Malwarebytes [www.majorgeeks.com] and install it, let it update then do the scan.

Thanks Berton,
MWB found the file, it was hidden in ProgramDATA, I cleared it out and haven't had that since. It used to pop up every 6 hours or so.

On an unrelated note, is there a reason when I run 'winsat mem' my speed is only 5839 MB/s?

I cannot say as to the why but I'd bet the speed is actually 5839Mbps. The difference in terms is that b = bits and B = and the ps is per second.
M = Mega, K = Kilo, G = Giga, T = Tera
There are 8 bits in a Byte. [Very basic stuff I had to learn back in the early '80s]

Cheers for the explanation,

Is that not pretty slow compared to some others?

It might be slow but it all depends upon what the user subscribes to with an ISP/Internet Service Provider. I use Wireless DSL at 1Mbps, have several computers using it and been with it since 2003. Phoneline DSL to my location isn't any better. Cable Internet in my area is quite fast at 30Mbps but also more expensive, may have to change some day.
