Unknown problem within my NVIDIA Geforce GT 240M.

Recently, I had to restore my computer to the factory default settings. When everything was completely taken care of, it was time for the updates to everything (which took quite a while, but that's not my concern). My graphics card prior to the update was labeled VGA. When I updated it, it changed to NVIDIA Geforce GT 240M. After this update, I was asked to restart the computer (of course) however, when the computer got to the "Starting Windows" screen, it froze. I can tell it froze by the flow of moving lights withing the Windows logo on that screen. I know for a fact that it is my graphics card causing this issue because I restarted my computer in safe mode and disabled the card numerous times. Then the next time I restarted my computer, it worked fine (minus the benefits of the graphics card). Is there anything I can do to fix this? I've tried downloading the drivers straight from the NVIDIA website, I've automatically downloaded the drivers from Windows Automatic Update, I've manually searched for any available downloads through the Device Manager, and I've even gone to the Acer website and downloaded their preferred drivers from there and every result ended the same way.

Did you make any recovery disks when you first ran the computer?

No. I never made any recovery disks, however I did buy them from Acer.

You can try running a recovery w/the disks.....Is the computer still under warranty?

Try selecting the video driver from Acer's site.

I've done several recoveries already. It never has fixed the issue.
No, it's long past the warranty.

Is your bios version 3310?

I have no clue. How do I check my bios version?

When you first boot up your computer, you should see the bios listed (before Windows loads). If you enter your bios settings, it may also tell you there. I'm not sure for Acer.

I just checked my bios version. It's not 3310. It's 3308.

You could flash to 3310.
