Unkown Device, Code 43

Since about 1-2 months ago whenever I hooked up my phone (HTC Rezound) to my computer through my USB chord I get an error message saying that it's an unrecognized device and that it was stopped because the device has shown previous problems. I used to upload videos and pictures from my phone to my computer about once a week for months straight and I didn't have a problem with it. Is there any way that I can adjust something in my computer to fix this? Thank you for your help!
