Just change the 1 to 0.

In win 7 and vista it will not work.
That is because of the new way they handle memory.

A DLL is a Dynamicly Linked Library containing function calls that can be used by any program that needs them. They are, thus, a shared resource that saves a ton of disk space by not having every program have to load it's own duplicate copy of things. Windows controls --buttons, checkboxes, lists, toolbars, etc.-- are all stored in DLLs and are accessed by all running programs... Just think how much memory space that saves.

For your other question... You won't know if windows is focibly unloading DLLs from memory... and I'm not entirely sure you want it to. Very often it would unload a DLL then have to reload it a few seconds later as it's called upon by the next program you load... this is very inefficient use of disk time.

Unlike XP and Vista, Windows Seven is really efficient at managing memory. I would not worry about it nor change anything.

I won't give advice on messing with the registry unless I have done so myself and know it is safe. Did you change the registry or add a key?

Did you back up the key before deleting it? If you didn't, get in the habit of ALWAYS backing it up.

If that key is tied to that particular application, the key may be telling Windows to unload the particular dll or dll's used by that program. Unless you uninstall the program, I would let the key alone.

"0" usually means "off"

Whatever "memory improve master" does, undo those and delete the application forever. Just going to mess your computer by using an application like that.

Like I already said Vista and Win7 use superfetch.
You start messing with it you could mess up your computer.
