Unresponsive Script Messages, not responding in Word, etc

I would like help cleaning up my computer. It can take 30 to 60 seconds at times to open a drop down window. It seems worse in the morning! and I wonder if that is when my virus and malware programs are running. Malware Bytes, Microsoft Security Essentials, Webroot.

I'm not familiar with Event Viewer but I went there-had 197 errors in last 24 hours. Only use the computer 3 to 4 hours a day. Thanks for any help!
