Solved Update Error Code 800B0100

SURT runs thinks its fixed stuff so if I run it again before updating... it doesn't find anything... Update still fails though

SFC Scan Now finds nothing..

I'm at a loss on what to do to fix this and hope you can help.

I've uploaded a file - zsnaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive

Please download and save it.

Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder zsnaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests ,and Packages)


Copy the content of the Packages folder to thefolder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Okay. What magic are these manifests doing and how are you generating them?

The manifest files basically tell Windows which files should be installed, so that it can check what files it needs. I have a large stock of Windows Updates, from which I extract the necessary files for these fixes ;)

CheckSUR is happy now ;)

Try Windows update - do a Check for Updates, and attempt to install ONLY the oldest found update. If it goes OK, try the rest.
If it fails, post the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file.

So. New Error code is 802400D Stuck on Package KB2509553. It has service pack 1 installed now though.
