When MSE first came out the Definition Updates did not get installed automatically.
I like being notified of available updates, and I choose when to download and install them
EXCEPT, I did not like this for MSE definition updates, I wanted those installed automatically.
I was getting notified of an update available every day - it was for the MSE definition update.
I did like ThrashZone and created a scheduled task for the definition updates.
Now the definition updates do get installed automatically as NoelDP said.
Maybe MS had enough complaints about having to manually update the definitions daily, so they changed the way it works ???
I don't know - just guessing here !
The MSE PROGRAM updates do not get installed automatically (for me) and that's the way I want it.
I do want to control PROGRAM updates, but NOT definition updates...
