Hello all,

I'm facing some problems after the update KB980182
After that update my wireless connection stopped working it install the hardware but I cannot find any wireless network and if turn of the wireless on my notebook it doesnt detects that was disable on windows

I took a look at the microsoft website about this update but it says is a IE security fix.
So nothing related.

But when i went to system restore and checked the dependence of the last update installation it shows me that it uninstall my previous driver and installed a new one.

My wireless chipset is a atheros 5006x and windows installed the Gigabyte GN-WS50G mini PCI-E Wlan card

I already make a system restore and uninstaled this update but it didint help
I don't know about i can do anyone.
Tried several diferent drivers and no one worked.
Anyone has an idea?

Hi,

sorry no idea, but i've had problems with internet access since installing KB980182 and have to keep un-installing it and restoring my system.
I've checked on other internet sites and this update seems to be causing problems with internet access (no access or running extremely slowly) and several other problems.

I tried raising a support ticket with Microsot via https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=6527&st=1&wfxredirect=1
but keep getting the message
