Updates for Office 2007 but only Compatibility Pack installed

Hello,

I am running Windows 7 and have Office XP installed on my machine.

Do I have to or rather should I install MS updates for Office 2007? For instance KB. Im not sure because I do not have the suite installed. But given that these are security updates I want to be sure.

I appreciate your help.

Yes, I would recommend that you do. I would if if it was any PC I managed or owned.
