On 5/8/2013 several windows security updates were installed along with IE10. All installed ok but the Microsoft icons for Office are now on a windows default icon and I cannot restore by Properties>advanced> change icon. The change icon button is inactive.
I went into Installed Updates and uninstalled all from the 05/08/13 date but the icons are still gone. When I went to change other program icons that were lost I got an error message that "windows could not find file .... It was long registry entry.
I did get the icons back for programs such as quicken and Quickbooks.
As far as IE 10 I only used it on one site usually and the screen scroll down quit working and I could only see half the pages. I did get this uninstalled and IE 9 is working OK like it was.
