Okay so i'm grading the motherboard and the processor, i already got the gpu i wanted and ram. I'm wondering if these components would be compatible with the case, because some people say it has proprietary parts.
Motherboard : ASUS P9X79 WS LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 SSI CEB Intel Motherboard
by Asus
CPU: intel i7 4930k
I want to see if i will be able to install this easily, i hear that if you replace the motherboard you wont have control of the Alienware command center is it true? Any alienware area 51 alx owners who has upgraded confirm, and this is my very first time installing a motherboard and a cpu, any advice? like what should i do before i start removing parts?

Dell say's the Area 51 is a ATX design so in theory it should bolt in. Is there an Dell Alienware Area 51 blog site you may want to ask those questions there or get us exact details from Dell on your case and components. Can't answer the Alien control center but it would stand to reason that it is only software and likely will control a great many thing on the new mobo.

Regarding the compatibility...

The Motherboard and CPU should be compatible, I believe it will depend on where you buy it from. I think the Motherboard you have selected is a first Gen X79 board which work with the new Ivy-E CPU's but only if the Bios has been pre-flashed to support them.
If you have a look at the screenshot I have posted it appears Newegg have ones that are pre-flashed. I don't know where you are buying from but I would certainly recommend you check before you buy to make sure the one you are getting is indeed ready to go.

I got it from Amazon.com, I've already put the cpu in the motherboard, but my old alienware liquid cooler isn't compatible with the board, so I couldn't install it, and I ended up getting "CPU FAN error" in which I have a new liquid cooler coming in, Not sure if it's compatible with the mobo and my case in which ill make another thread asking people.

This is where detailed pictures helps a ton. It gives us spacing and opening answers and clues to ways to solve issues unforeseen. The good news as well is ASUS has various was to update the bios if the CPU doesn't want to boot with the mobo's bios version, of course getting the proper bios update ahead of time is preferred. The new water cooler, what size radiator is it and what size is it replacing in the Alienware?
