Upgrading my CPU possible?

Was wondering if Upgrading my CPU was possible on this shitty pc.

AMD Quad-Core A6-3600 (2.1GHz), 8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, AMD Radeon HD 6530D are my specs.

I have $200 to upgrade my CPU or Graphics card if possible, I don't care about an SSD right now.

Durdy please explain why you system isn't meeting your needs, what are you doing on it? Gaming, what games, spread sheets, word documents, cad, video or audio rendering.....what are you being hindered by !

Just running games like CS:GO and Minecraft with medium settings, nothing too big.

I'll let others speak to the best gpu for the buck but my thoughts are to purchase the best graphics card that your 200.00 can buy with the idea that you upgrade the entire rig and transfer that card soon. My issue is the physical space in the case, case cooling as well the psu power to handle a top performing card......will it fit can it cool and will the draw create a issue on the PSU. Another option is to bank the 200.00 and keep saving for a better maybe custom self built rig or maybe a deprecated used rig with better spec's.

Bare bones kit's like this can be interesting but you must shop wisely and factor in all the other items like OS, fans, cables, etc.

This is how I got started and I'm on my 14th build, you can do this and we're here to help! I can tell you that nothing compares to the first builds start up and completion. Don't shy from this option, you'll learn tons and a building bug will crawl all over you and you can't wash it off ! haha

Just invest in a decent GPU and you can find a quadcore on ebay for your FM1 mobo they should be cheap as dirt right now

but if you already have a quad get a gpu and overclock the apu your only shot at bring the performance up
