upgrading W7 to W10, help please

I agree 7 is better, but like i said i needed to upgrade before i run into more issues with apps and drivers. I have a game that i literally could not run on 7 w/o unplayable lag and constant crashes. Once i determined it was 7 to blame and upgraded it now runs like i have a state of the art PC. I read that it will not run on any directX version under DX12 and that is apparently why at least in part. Anyways, as drivers/hardware and apps evolve i felt it best to move on and so far once i got everything straightened out no issues at all so far. I have been thru the OS upgrade thing several times since i got my fist PC in the late 90s and every time was a nightmare getting my settings hardware and apps back. This time it was the same thing with one big difference....it ended up taking me a few days verses the previous norm of a few weeks or even a month or more. So all in all it was far less of a nightmare than i experienced for the first day or 2.

You should have no problem upgrading to Windows 10 as Windows 7 hardware can usually run Windows 10 (at least it worked for me). If you ever want to go back after the time limit and you still have the Windows.old folder, there is an article on how to do that: How To Downgrade From Windows 7 To Vista (Step-by-Step Guide). It says Windows Vista, but should still work. You don't need a CD to downgrade. If you ever want to access Recovery Options, click Start, hold shift then click Restart, then click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command prompt. Your computer will reboot into a command prompt.
