Solved Running a custom W7 install disc over a existing W7 install

What I thought was working was the original W7 version on a USB stick. Between the different media, I must of gotten confused on what was what. I'm not a spring chicken anymore. :(

A screen shot of this drive. The .tib file was removed (True Image) and so was the efiold folder.
The Lastsession.inf is the printout of all the changes made using RT 7.

The immediate solution was to use Rufus v3 in GPT mode which I didn't think about until late. Funny, no one else did either.

That is under the assumption the O/S boot files are setup for GPT which in this case they were. It's when they aren't is the problem even with Rufus since the GPT/MBR choice is only MBR.

Ok, I removed the original efi folder and replaced it with the new \efi\Boot\bootx64.efi folder, but no difference, it still shows in the BIOS as a non UEFI drive.
