Solved Urgent: Live Mail Hung Up!

My Win Live Mail client is hung up trying to send a message that is no longer to the right address. It just sits there trying to send the message and will not go away. It is blocking any access to the Live Mail program itself to fix it. I'm at a loss as to what to do since it will not permit me access to the program. I'm a heavy emailer for my non-profit business. Help please! Thanks

Disconnect from the internet completely then run live mail. Once your in goto the outbox and delete the offending email. Close Live mail. Now reconnect to the internet and launch live mail, hopefully you'll be able to carry on as normal ... hope this helps

Many thanks for your reply. I did as you suggested but it had no effect. After disconnecting from the internet Live Mail still would only display that message that it was trying to send to that incorrect address. In effect it is still hung up.

Nick, your reply gave me an idea and I searched for a folder named Outbox and one came up but nothing in it. I have a feeling that was an obsolete folder from a prior installation and since then I've changed the location of my email. I'm still searching for that Outbox folder that has the offending messages in it but so far I've not been able to find it.

I've finally found the outbox folder in the folder tree but I don't have permission to delete the messages in it. I built this machine and am the only user of it but I apparently am not regarded as the "administrator" for major changes. I'm once again in the clutches of the infamous Windows security apparatus and will now have to spend valuable hours trying to figure out how to become the Admin of my own machine. Anybody know how to become the Administrator of your own machine? And the only user listed?

Right click on the folder and take ownership of it.

Sorry, I failed to mentione that finally becoming the Admin gave me the permission to go in and delete the messages that were hanging up my Live Mail program and not permitting me to go in and delete the messed up messages. After deleting the Outbox stored messages the program returned to normal. I could never do that until I became "the admin".
