I have a problem with my USB 3 ports. They work perfectly OK with USB 2 devices plugged into them but when I plug USB 3 devices in, my PC slows down and I can no longer control my mouse or carry out any other task on my PC - it seems to lock up until I unplug the USB 3 device.

The USB 3 devices work perfectly OK if not slower when plugged into the USB 2 ports on the PC.

My PC has an ASUS P8Z77-M Pro motherboard with i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz and 16GB of memory, running Window 7 Home Premium x64 Service Pack 1.

I have searched everywhere for solution and reinstalled all the USB drivers with no success.

Has anyone had this problem and can help me with a solution.

Is this from the rear USB 3.0 ports or the USB 3.0 midboard header?

It is all USB3 ports - rear and midboard header.
I have checked physical connections with multimeter and all leads are OK as are connections.
